Welcome to the Rainbow stamps Gallery. Here are just a few ideas for cards made using some of the products available on our web site with maybe a few bits and pieces from your craft box added for unique embelishment. I will be adding to the gallery month by month, so please keep looking. If you would like to email me examples of your wonderful creation I would love to see them. May be we will even start a gallery with your ideas too!!

Stamped card text and picture.jpg

This card was made by stamping a text and picture ,in sepia coloured ink, onto a piece of cream card. This was stuck onto a slightly larger piece of brown card which had been cut using crinkle scissors. The base card was a square, cream card which had been partly covered with a contrasting decorative background paper. A small strip was cut away from the top edge of the card using the same crinkle scissors and a crinkled strip of the brown card stuck to the edge of the inside of the card so it was visible inder the cut away edge. The picture and text 'topper' was then mounted on the front of the card using small double sided sticky foam squares.

These cards were both made with images created using Encaustic art :- by melting coloured waxes onto a small, low heat encaustic iron then applying them to special shiny card. Using different motions with the iron, different effects can be achieved. The butterfly image was stamped onto to the shiny white card using an Impress dye ink pad in black. This must be left to dry completely then covered with a layer of clear wax using the iron. An absract design was then created with coloured waxes and the iron, over and around the image. Both pictres were then polished very lightly with a soft tissue (to give them a shine ) and then mounted in an aperture card on which a text had been stamped using the same blak ink.
